How to unlock Nokia X7-00 with the unique unlock code?

A Nokia X7-00 unlock code is required to unlock the Nokia X7-00. Since the cell phone makes use of a SIM card, many cell phone carriers, such as T-Mobile and AT&T put a SIM lock on them, which prevents them from working with other SIM card carriers. The unlock code will remove this SIM lock and allow you to use your device with another carrier. Many people find this useful is traveling to another country or just when their service is dropping calls in their current area. Switching the a new carrier can then be very useful.

Many people ask then, well how do I get this unlock code? Unfortunately, every phone requires a unique unlock code, that is calculated off of their IMEI number. You can find your Nokia X7′s IMEI number simply by entering *#06# on your keypad. On your screen a number should be displayed, inside of that message will be your IMEI number. You can then goto websites such as listed below or call up your current cell phone carrier and they should be able to use this number to generate the unlock code for you. Some carriers however, will not do this and in this case you will need to use an unlock code vendor. I highly recommended the ones below as they support most cell phones and do it instantly, so no waiting on your end.

Once you have your unlock code, you can use the steps below to unlock your phone. However, most carriers or unlock code websites will provide the instructions free. In any case, it is usually the identical steps below:

How To Unlock Nokia X7-00

1. Remove the SIM card from your Nokia X7-00 and power it on.
2. Now type: #PW+CODE+1# (Where CODE is your Nokia unlock code)
3. Your phone should now show “SIM Restriction Off” and is unlocked.

(Note: You must press the * key several times to get the characters for ‘P’ and ‘W’.)
